My husband is gay, I am straight and we are still married and raising three kids. Our kids know that their dad is gay and understand that he is more attracted to men than women. My eight year old daughter recently asked me why her 9 year old brother liked drawings of women with large breasts. I can't just tell her to ask her dad about it, so I told her that some men find large breasts attractive. This might be a simplistic answer, but it didn't automatically take a heterosexist point of view.
