Dan is a life-long resident of New York City. A gay man whose mother came out as a lesbian, Dan founded Second Generation in 1991 to find others out there like him. He feels that one of the best results of his efforts was meeting Abigail Garner.
Dan works as a librarian in NYC and is a long time activist in a variety of circles, both queer and non-queer. Some of his recent writing has appeared in Revolting Librarians Redux: Radical Librarians Speak Out and Counterpoise magazine.
