Danna writes: “I’m currently a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, though my hometown is Phoenix, AZ, where I grew up with my older sister, our mother, and our father. We were raised Mormon, but our parents were divorced when we were 7 and 10, coinciding with my dad coming out of the closet. My sister, father, and I have since left the church.”
