Jon contacted Abigail Garner after reading her article in Newsweek. He and his brother Ari have a father who is gay and a mother who is lesbian. Their parents divorced when Ari and Jon were young. They grew up in Hopewell, NJ.
Jon writes: “I agreed to participate in Families Like Mine because I felt that it was important to share my story with others who might feel isolated by their experiences growing up with gay and/or lesbian parents. I hope it also increases tolerance for families with GLBT members.”
