Kate grew up in outside of Washington, D.C. with her straight mom, two gay dads, brother and step-brother. She is thankful for her father introducing her early on to other kids with families like hers — and to her mother for being so strong and supportive throughout it all. Over the years, Kate has made several transformations on the path from a radical queer community organizer to a skateboarding monkey in the film industry.
