Kristin grew up in Gainesville, Florida and earned a Ph.D. specializing in Social Psychology and Families & Gender in 2003. She is currently on the faculty of the University of Florida researching and teaching about the experiences of adult children of LGBT parent(s). Last fall she was commissioned to compose a factsheet summarizing the existing research on LGBT parenting and children (PDF).
